Studies show that excessive social media use can negatively impact mental health. Do you think social media makes you feel more connected or isolated?

What exactly is excessive use of social media? I do not think using too much is harmful, what is important is what you are doing. If you are scrolling feed and watching all sort of content, it can certainly be harmful to your mind but if you are using it for marketing, promotion, content monetization, it can be useful

Positive Impacts: Social media can facilitate communication with friends and family, even across long distances, and provide opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals.

Some people are using social media just to oppress other people and show off. When you have such people in your social media space, you can easily get depressed. You would start comparing yourself with them. And that can affect your mental health.

Social media can boost connection but also fuel anxiety and comparison. I limit my daily use to avoid overwhelm. When I took breaks, my mood improved and focus returned.
