So much for taking responsibility for one's actions.

This is a perfect example of the damage out entitlement culture has done to our society. The rules were published. Everyone knew them. But when they weren't able to meet the criteria, instead of sucking it up and accepting the consequences of their actions, they sue. And worse, it appears they will get their way. Who wants a spoiled brat for president? Sorry, I should have written another spoiled brat.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli will reportedly file emergency legislation in an attempt to get more Republican presidential candidates on the Virginia primary ballot in March, Fox News reports.

Texas Governor Rick Perry, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman did not submit enough signatures from Virginia residents to qualify for the ballot.

Looks like VA Atty Gen. has changed his mind.

Ken Cuccinelli said:
“However, after working through different scenarios with Republican and Democratic leaders to attempt to make changes in time for the 2012 Presidential election, my concern grows that we cannot find a way to make such changes fair to the Romney and Paul campaigns that qualified even with Virginia’s burdensome system,” he said in the statement. “A further critical factor that I must consider is that changing the rules midstream is inconsistent with respecting and preserving the rule of law – something I am particularly sensitive to as Virginia’s attorney general.”

I find a certain hilarity in this situation in that the Repubs and Dems have together circled their wagons making these strict ballot access requirements. It looks like they have been caught in a web of their own making. Maybe this will result in necessary ballot access reform.

Any properly organized society should include entitlements, but some do take it too far. The Republicans love giving Big Business entitlements. :)

The Republican Party has no business in public office. They, yes, they, no one else has elevated baldfaced lies into spin. They also were central to the tactic of moving rhetoric far to the right of their 1960's standards where instead of calling their opponents honorable, but mistaken, now any opponent to the Republican movement is the spawn of Satan. To sum it up they are SHIT HEADS. I all ready know that according to you the Dems are just as bad and you know I disagree with you.

The Democrats would be a an acceptable choice if they could understand basic economics, but at least with them I don't feel like I'm about to get a knife in my back. Give me a viable a Independent candidate, not a Libertarian and I'll be happy to consider them.
