38 years ago. Hard to believe. I was there.

I was 19, fresh out of High School. Captain of the football
team and President of the CYO. The all American boy.

I knew I was doing to get drafted so I joined knowing that I could
choose my MOS rather than go over there as infantry although it ment
I would be in for 3 years rather than 2. It seemed like a fair trade off.

But it wasn't

Whoa.. I had to re-read your post. At first I thought your first sentence said you were 38 years old. I was trying to figure out how exactly you were 19 years old at any time during Vietnam if you were only 38 now. Haha! I just woke up.

I'm 24.... I feel young... even though I'm old.

What? Dude, 24 is not old. I'm 31 and I don't consider myself old at all. Of course, it helps that I don't look my age.
