Not that McDonalds Burgers are good for you, they are not. However, McDonalds like a lot of other eating establishments did studies on radiant heat effects on Styrofoam (a mixture of Styrene whos base product is Benzene). It was determined that there is in fact a link between radiant heat and absorbtion of some carcinogens. Hence the large reduction in the use of Styrofoam by food chains.
If anyone here has ever...Micro-waved a dinner on a plastic plate, eaten any number of microwave meals out there on the market, you are basically releasing via heat and the waves themselves, Benzene, Ethyl Benzene, Trichloroethanes and various other toxic compunds.
One of the VERY WORST products on the market for this "leeching" is Cambell's Soup At Hand.
