So I got the Skylander game for my son to play on the Wii and 3DS.. The Characters have been impossible to get since late December and people have been buying them all when they come in to Walmart, bestBuy or Toys R Us to resell only.
It's gotten so bad that one lady is on the blacklist here for these things because she would buy them all and the kids could never get any for the game, so they put a limit of one set per person, but they still get around it and sell these for $50.00 each on Craigslist and eBay as well as Amazon.com.
Since it's release it's gown in popularity extremely fast with PS3 players jumping on board making matters worse and Activision not making it easier for kids to get the characters.
What's sadistic about this is that kids like mine, who are 8, cannot get past certain levels without the characters, so they are starting to not only get upset with the game but fed up. Parents at Walmart today were saying this will be the LAST Activision game they buy and to be honest I don't blame them..
When these characters, all 30 of them, usual stock price jump from $10.00 ea to $50.00 minimum kids and parents alike have no interest in moving forward in getting more of this.
If this had happened when the game was in it's second revision they would have had a captive audience but they really screwed themselves IMO by having this issue at the 3 month mark of the game just as it got popular..
So no second version for us..
