So I got the Skylander game for my son to play on the Wii and 3DS.. The Characters have been impossible to get since late December and people have been buying them all when they come in to Walmart, bestBuy or Toys R Us to resell only.

It's gotten so bad that one lady is on the blacklist here for these things because she would buy them all and the kids could never get any for the game, so they put a limit of one set per person, but they still get around it and sell these for $50.00 each on Craigslist and eBay as well as Amazon.com.

Since it's release it's gown in popularity extremely fast with PS3 players jumping on board making matters worse and Activision not making it easier for kids to get the characters.

What's sadistic about this is that kids like mine, who are 8, cannot get past certain levels without the characters, so they are starting to not only get upset with the game but fed up. Parents at Walmart today were saying this will be the LAST Activision game they buy and to be honest I don't blame them..

When these characters, all 30 of them, usual stock price jump from $10.00 ea to $50.00 minimum kids and parents alike have no interest in moving forward in getting more of this.

If this had happened when the game was in it's second revision they would have had a captive audience but they really screwed themselves IMO by having this issue at the 3 month mark of the game just as it got popular..

So no second version for us..

My son and I enjoy the game and we have no problem finding characters. You only need the 3 they give you, and if you want to open up everything than the most you need is 8 (one of each 'type'). That does make it an expensive game, but he saves his money and buys the things himself.

Yes I know but we never got 2 of the 8 we needed. He has worked patiently as we are constantly told to wait for these characters to come in from the Wii to his 3DS but has reached points where he must get the ones stopping him from moving forward..

If you look at Amazon.com even as an authorized re-seller of these items, people offer them from anywhere $26.96 to $218.00.. :eek

The few that Amazon has for the proper price are few and far apart at $7.95 or $9.95 each and most of the ones that come with the game..

that wiki you linked isnt ranking on revenue but opinion

"Note that this is not a ranking by revenue, but of the quality of experience of working with the publishers according to staff, and some video game development companies"

if you go look at activision and EAs revenue for the year activision is 1 billion+ ahead of EA
