(This is way different than what I usually write, and in it's first draft but I thought I'd share it anyway. Any critique is appreciated.)

The stars dissipated behind the clouds of the storm,
All I could muster was a sigh.
In their last hours they had pledged to reform
Without the slightest indication why.

The moon sits on it's lonely park bench,
Watching the world go by.
The rain falls, and he exhales
It's easier to hide the tears in his eyes.

Though I am not fooled by that old man,
Though he thinks he's sly-
I've been on that road and back again
I've let the dark inside.

He asks how I came through my resurrection,
It brings a sad smile to my eye
'Silly old man.' I said,
I'm just sitting here alone- looking at the sky.
