Anyone else a fan of these? I find Chaplin's silent humour, pure genious. Mary Pickford was a babe. I also loved Harold Lloyd, he always used to be on telly when I visited my grandparents, for some reason. He used to do all his own stunts and he had a seriously disabled hand, he used to wear a glove in his films to hide it, Laurel and Hardy were also always on at my grandparents home, one of the, if not the, best ever comic double act.:thumbup

I've watched a couple of them. There's something about the simplicity of them that makes them that much better than today's movies.

I've seen quite a few down the years and nearly always enjoyed them. Laurel & Hardy and Chaplin movies being the better ones

I can't get into Chaplin, I watched one once just to broaden my horizons, and I hated every second of it.

I also watched the Salvador Dali surrealist movie, that I forget the title to.... Andulician Dog or something... I also hated that.

I don't know if I'd call myself a fan as I don't seek them out, however The General with Buster Keaton was incredible and just happens to be listed as the number one silent movie at SilentEra.com. And I would call myself a fan of Harold Loyd. In the States, I believe Tuner Classic Movies shows silent movies something on the weekend in the evening.
