should people on benefits be able to live in rich areas ?


we are constantly told about discrimination,
the farct we are even discussing this point is a sad realisation.
the state is not provideing,
this is why the houseing stock is devideing.
land lords are simply reeping,
we are walking into a warzone, but sleeping.
if these plans go ahead, 400000 will be homeless,
guetto's will be created, now a bigger mess.
the conseratives wont mind, or even blink,
15000 will have to leave central london, i need a drink.
we still have to accecpt immigration,
there accomidation has to be met, with no building creation.
the soultion is simple, the govenement and cousil have to build,
rich and poor have to intermix, its only a fair playing field.
is it going to happen, suffering is on the card,
we can all see whats happening, and it makes it so hard.

(this was a debate on the wrightstuff this morning, and it confirms to me that the con party want a 2 teer country < the rich and the poor? the question is will we let them do it ?)

It's not as simple as 'don't live in a rich area if you're on benefits'. My partner and I picked an affordable home and moved in when we both had stable jobs, or so we thought. Three months later I was made redundant and had to claim housing benefit to pay the rent, and not long after I found a new job, my partner was put in a similar position.

Obviously had we known we'd both be out of work within months of each other, we would have picked something as cheap as possible! But when we moved it, it was well within our budget. And it's not that simple to just move out - there'd be new fees from another agent, and van hire and time off work...
