Canada and the United States are rich countries so they might not have grudges against Britain. But there are a lot of countries in Asia and Africa that are struggling because colonial powers systematically took away their wealth. Do you think former colonial powers should provide reparations? Or do you think self-determination mean nations must solve their own problems?

I believe former colonial powers should consider reparations, as many former colonies continue to feel the lasting effects of exploitation and inequality. Reparations could address historical injustices and help foster healing. However, the process would need to be thoughtful, acknowledging both the past and present impacts.
