Well the sh*t hit the fan. They had Joe in Tuesday nite and not for what I expected. Back in February Joe almost had an accident. Not his fault, in fact they commended him in missing a big rig truck that stopped suddenly on the highway because some fools had something fall out of the back of their truck and hopped out on the freeway to retrieve it risking their lives and everyone else. So he had to veer suddenly and it all got caught on the tape.

Well after that he started having pains in his chest and thought he was having a heart attack. So they told him to go to the hospital. He did they monitored his heart-it was fine, but they wanted to keep himn over nite. He refused, it ended up being muscle strain, but they wanted to later give him a EKG to be safe, he scheduled then cancelled it. BUT.....he ended up taking several days off (to drink of course) and took leave. The ER doc wrote an excuse like thru 2/5 but Joe filled out the paperwork himself and wrote 2/7 on part of it.

Well they have been looking to fire him because of his attendance. But they didn't want to use his mother or dad's death so they honed in on him "forging" this paperwork.

They put him on administrative leave yesterday and today and he should hear tomorrow if he's fired.

I want to fight it...we HAVE to fight it tooth and nail. I consulted an atty friend who gave me some names of attys that specialize in this sort of thing if he does get fired. Of course, I want to kill Joe. He's talking about how great it will be to get unemployment. How he can open a restaurant....like that's a great business and where the H*ll we will get funds to do that AND build our house AND put Evan thru school (his mom not contributing)........I WANT TO SCREAM.

So cross your fingers for me! If he doesn't get fired I may not kill him.

I hope it turns out as well....but it sounds like they are looking for a reason to can him....time to start looking for another job anyway.
I say its better to go before they eventually fire him and tarnish his employment record

That's the thing, the fool has a spotty employment record. He's jumped from one job to the other, the longest one he had was for 3 years and he QUIT that one. And being 48 years old in this economy that's not a great thing! Which is another reason I'm so mad at him. Looking at his resume, I wouldn't be eager to hire him. GRRRRRRRR.

I think it's time to get his resume up to date and polished up.. Start firing it off to get him interviews as I don't think his company will care much if he takes time to go look for another job..

It's also much easier to find work while employed than unemployed..

Most of all, best of luck..
