The looming Sequestration is the biggest pile of bullshit I have seen in my lifetime.

Except for a few politicians they should all get kicked out of office for the lies and distortions and manipulation

Obama allegedly came up with this nonsensical idea. Which was to force congress to take action. So lets see that was over a year ago and now all of a sudden it is a friggin crisis?

Obama is still playing the game of running for office with all his grandstanding and threats about the impact. If half of what he has alleged were true then there actually might be something said for reducing the deficit. Because if half what he has threatened were true then there would actually be some reduction in the govt spending.

But it is just a pack of lies. The so called cuts are not cuts at all. They represent a cut of less than 3% of intended 2013 expenditures which is still greater than expenditures in 2012

Then you have the threat that this that or whatever is going to results in furloughs and eliminating of this or that benefit. Of course those are the things like police fire and food for kids and elderly, blah, blah, blah. So Obama is picking what he wants to fell the pain.

What should have been done is to have a straight across the board minimum cut of 5% in EVERY program and benefit except medicare and social security. The average citizen has had to swim with sharks the last 5 years and it is about damn time the govt learn to deal with that the same as the rest.

Let the sequester take place. Then lets get some real cuts in spending. This is all smoke and mirrors

I had hopes for the Obama guy but he appeared to do nothing more than create more debt in a shorter time than any other president...sure we have a few pot holes fixed but I was expecting more...sadly the economy wasnt intended to be fixed with his policy.
He has lied to us repeatably..short of humorous some still have faith in this guy.

hey there Caveman

I have to be honest.... I don't see it having an impact on me. So I say full speed ahead

If that sounds callous to some then tough shit because I have been impacted by the economy for years. I already have paid the price for government malfeasance. Time to spread the pain.

All the special interests get their fingers in decisions that impact my business. Now some other people can see how it feels.

Which would be minimal without the political gamesmanship.

Recovering from a mistake is often painful. Fixing a phenomenal fuck up and generations of wasteful overindulgence is going to be painful as hell - and should be. This tentative toe in the water is nothing.

And the longer they delay making real cuts the worse it will hurt. You can't keep giving folks something for nothing anymore.

Yup

This is like trying to get a fire out with people pissing on it.

But you can bet enough will buy into the histrionics.

Our friggin media is buying right into it too which just makes it the more likely to be that we kick the can down the road

Just heard a left wing pundit make the comment that real things happen when govt is cut. No shit sherlock. That is what we conservatives have been talking about.

Then he starts on with his list and says teachers will be laid off.

Ok I wanna know how that is to be. I pay a shit load of property taxes which fund our schools. If there is federal money being paid to schools then I want my property taxes reduced . Start with the Department of Education for cuts. Eliminate the department.

Also the revenue the feds get has nearly doubled in the last 12 years. How the fuck is that supposed to not be an indication the fed. govt is bloated.

This sequestration nonsense reminds me of the Y2k bullshit which the doom and gloomers used to prey on an apathetic and uneducated populace.

If the republicans back down after already agreeing to tax cuts at the end of last year then I hope every one of them bastards gets kicked out of office and replaced by some true conservatives that give a damn about our future and understand you can not have trillion dollar deficits year after year let alone any deficit in most years.

It's a common Washington lie to tell everyone that they hire teachers, repair roads, employ the cops, etc, etc, etc. It should be illegal to place any strings on federal funding sent to the states beyond what general purpose it is for, such as education, transportation, etc. Any dictates beyond that should be banned. Let state gov't run state gov't.

Specially when it is out of sync with the population

The facts are both parties suck big time

But the democrats readily admit there is no spending problem. That is a fact that is well documented

So we have a piss poor choice who to support

Unless you are a liberal. You can see their desperation to keep misleading the public when all they can do is demonize the TeaParty and Libertarians.

If memory serves me correct Obama based his first campaign on a transparent govt and reduced spending.
After the win..he goes on a spending spree.
We have this scant 85 billion in question...he wants to slam the GOP for wanting to reduce spending..when it is what he based his campaign on.
Such campaign was enough for him to take the win via the democratic population.
So the question is why does a dem favor reduced spending and vote for him..but then support him when he actually does the opposite of what he says.
While any mention of such makes one a racist?
