So we do this every month on the weight loss forum I'm on and it's actually a good way to motivate everybody to get off their butts and start exercising. The way you do it is you set a goal (in minutes) for the month and, well DUH, you try to meet it. You make one post in the thread w/ all your exercise times listed, and you just edit that post throughout the month to add your times.

It's starting to cool down outside, so now is as good a time as any. And you can even use things like housework and count it as exercise (hey, it counts!!!).

So let's get going!!!

Last month I set my goal at 1400 minutes and finished with 1945 minutes. So this month I'm bumping it up to 1800 minutes. :) My normal routine is 30 minutes treadmill in the afternoon before work and 60 - 90 minutes elliptical/treadmill/stationary bike after work.

Goal: 1800 minutes
Total: 2390 minutes

1 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 75 minutes at the gym (morning)
2 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 90 minutes at the gym (morning)
3 - Rest Day.
4 - 60 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 90 minutes at the gym (morning)

5 - 70 minutes at the gym (morning)
6 - Rest Day.
7 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 90 minutes at the gym (morning)
8 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 50 minutes at the gym (morning)
9 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 60 minutes at the gym (morning)
10 - 30 minutes pushing around a grocery cart full of about 150 lbs of groceries
11 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon)

12 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 60 minutes at the gym (morning)
13 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon)
14 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 60 minutes at the gym (morning)
15 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 65 minutes at the gym (morning)
16 - 120 minutes geocaching + 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 80 minutes at the gym (morning)
17 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 60 minutes at the gym (morning)
18 - Rest Day.

19 - Rest Day.
20 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 65 minutes at the gym (morning)

26 - 45 minutes walking around the lake
27 - 45 minutes at the gym (morning)
28 - 30 minutes at the gym (afternoon) + 65 minutes at the gym (morning)
29 - 80 minutes walking on the trail behind my house + 65 minutes at the gym (morning)
30 - 150 minutes mock drill exercises (actually 9 hours, but I'd say 2 1/2 hours of actual physical exertion) + 30 minutes walking on the trail behind my house

LOL It's been such a pain trying to go since I started this job. And the road I take is under construction so I have to take a different route which gives me less time. UGH

Today I had the day off so it was easier to just go and get the kids after instead of having to watch the clock lol.

It DOES get to be difficult to find the time sometimes...BUT I've found that when I make the time to go, I feel a lot better. :)

Yes ma'am!!! My mom has bad knees so a mile is about all she can walk in a day. So I go and walk a mile w/ her before work and then I go again after work and walk another 1.5 - 2 miles and do 20 minutes (plus a cool down) on the elliptical. I try to go twice a day 5 times a week, but sometimes I go less and sometimes I go more. It gets addictive!!!

BWAHAHA I forgot all about this topic. Updating now, but I know I won't be making my goal after a week of being sick. Next month it's on like Donkey Kong biznitches! :)

That's impressive. :thumbup I workout "only" 3 times a week but I tend to get a lot of exercise at my job as well.

I've been terrible and not gone to the gym once this month yet. I don't have much time to, but I have to get used to it again. The only time I have to go is between 4:45 (typically when I can get to the gym after work) til 5:45 (gotta have enough time to pick up the kids by 6). So that gives me an hour. After changing and stretching I'm down to about 45 minutes a day to work out.
I have removed the weekends as I can't go to the gym on the weekends. It doesn't have a child watch. Those will be my rest days.

I will start today.

Actual:
8 30 min express workout.
9 45 mins treadmill and weights
10 I absolutely positively did not work out this day. I have no excuse other than it was Friday. :)

13 30 min express work out
14 Meh no excuse here.
15 45 mins walking, ab machine, weights
16 30 min express work out
17 went to the mall and shopped for 2 hours that's somewhat a work out with all the walking right? bwahaha

20 I was sick...no I didn't work out
21 I was sick...no I didn't work out
22 I was sick...no I didn't work out
23 I was sick...no I didn't work out
24 I was sick...no I didn't work out

27 I mowed the yard that's an hour of walking and pushing a mower lol no gym tho.
28 45 mins walking, ab machine, thigh machine, weights
29 40 mins walking, abs, back, thighs

30 35 mins walking

Well damn...10 minutes short of hitting 2400 minutes. BUT at least I beat my goal by almost 600 minutes...woo woot!!!

I didn't even count up my minutes because I now I didn't hit my goal. I only set my goal for 30 minutes a day for next month. It should be a lot easier to hit that goal.
