In your life have you ever felt that you have "sold your soul"?

Would you, if it were possible, sell it?

What could bring you to that point and make you think that it would be worth it?

To me, the concept of 'selling your soul', is basically the idea that you would do something that goes completely against your core values and ethics, for some other kind of benefit that is not a 'noble' cause.

I think each person is defined by their values, ethics and their willingness to compromise themselves for other types of gain. I personally have very little respect for people who don't hold true to their beliefs, and I would not act against mine. You can't put a dollar figure on integrity.

What does that mean anyway? Are you really losing anything that you had or didn't have? And who really is the buyer of your soul? Or is it just your self-respect and self-dignity that you're losing?
In that case, I wouldn't "sell my soul." I'll take the lumps with the gravy, thank you very much!

Well thats kind of the point of the Question...

If it were possible.

I know there is something in my life that If it were possible, I would, and I also know I have come about as close as I can, to selling my soul.

No I don't believe I sold it, But I have gone to places and seen things, and become a part of....

And I will continue to search until I get that which I desire...lol

Have I sold my soul.. No, not in terms of soul, but.. as far as going where I never believed I would go... I just keep getting deeper.

Well if selling your soul is compromising your beliefs ect then most of us already probably have at some point in some way, however unnoticable. There also has to be a balance somewhere along the line between being true to yourself and being unselfish. Being in a relationship you need to compromise or otherwise you end up at each others throats all the time. I guess sometimes you have to think "is it really that big a deal to compromise for the sake of peace?"

Cheeseburger and fires sounds good right about now.

On a side Note: why does no one ever complain about people selling their souls to God, since in essence that is what you are doing to gain a ticket to heaven? Selling your soul to the devil is always associated with small mediocre things, but people sell their soul to God none-the-less. Just something to think about.

I would never sell my soul on purpose.....I have on accident tho. I have done things in my life that are horrible.....and I did them for respect of my peers....that is what I have done to sell my soul....these things that I have done hurt people...and I didnt do them for any reason except that I wanted to be respected in a certain way and the way that I would be percieved after I did them. I pretty much did a HORRIBLE thing to be feared and respected even tho I know it was HORRIBLE....is that not selling your soul? BTW dont ask me what I did....there are a couple things.....dont bother!

my soul already belongs to God and there is no forseable point in my life that i would ever want to. i do agree with some of the other posts, regarding selling your soul is selling out on your belifes. i hope i will never do this but i do stupid things that i am not proud of and i spose it is possible.

I believe that Hugh Hefner sold is soul to the devil. If you know who that is, then you understand. If I had to choose...I've had a good life and all, but that man has a perfect one. Aside from the Viagra crap.

I would keep my soul.

I don't know why anyone would want to sell it. Sure you could get fame, money, sex, whatever you wanted in life, but then what happens when you're dead? You spend an eternity in hell with the devil.

There's no way in hell I'd sell MY soul (no pun intended).
