We've talked about students preparing to go back to school in the upcoming weeks.

What about teachers ?
Are they ready to... s t r i k e ?
With the massive layoffs and consolidating across the country ,is it wise for teachers to strike three days into the new school year ?
Knowing other school districts around the strikers may be in financial trouble, are they considering losing their economic situations as well ?
Should there be a referendum limiting the purpose or length of a strike ?
Education sure is a learning experience for some.
For others it's just profit...

Is the purpose of teacher strikes is to make more and more money $$$$ ?
Are the teachers for themselves instead of the student ?

I don't know much about the teacher strikes in America, but the recent national one in England was in response to the government slashing teachers (and other government workers pensions.)

Now that was about the money, and rightly so. I don't agree with having the money to bail out failing banks and businesses as well as prop up weak EuroZone neighbours, and not at least protecting the salaries of those who had nothing to do with the recession.
