School Fights

School fights,no matter on or off campus.
What can we do about it ?

Not mentioning the town or school I saw a clip of a brawl which spilled out into the streets endangering motorists and passer byes.
What else ?
Parents were involved in the melee as well.
There goes the answer.
Gives the new meaning of " extracurricular ".

I've seen a lot of fights. They usually get broken up before they get too serious.

when I was in high school they would have after school fights at a soccer field at another school
sometimes some people would bring guns

Nothing worked better to get everyone's attention in the halls than starting the "fight" chant

my fights were always quiet
and fast
I had a kid that was a bad boy bully thug drug dealer
who was known to carry a knife with him
he was permanently expelled from school
he showed up one day at school to beat my friend (we heard rumors he was going to do it cause my friend was talking crap about the kid)
when he showed up he blind sided my friend and hit him in the eye really hard
I had a lock in my pocket and put my finger through it and walked up to the bad kid and asked him to stop and to leave
he swung I ducked and then I knocked his two front teeth out
they both left campus and my name never got brought up so I didn't get in trouble

You know kids are funny. I remember being picked on by kids in Junior high, they used to call me "Deer Hunter", because I had a pink raincoat....mind u deer hunters wear red.....anyway, for some reason on time they threw a lit fire cracker in front of where I was walking. I didn't stop walking, didn't alter my pace, direction, just kept walking the same way and it exploded just a little bit after I had passed it. For some damn reason that impressed the hell out of these girls and after that I was "cool". Never had any problems with them again. You never know what particular thing (such as a pink raincoat) triggers harrassment, nor what particular thing (such as not backing down from a firecracker) makes u suddenly cool.

But there was no guns, knives etc, involved.........simpler times.....

Sounds familiar with the exception the school was closed or use the back dead end alley nearby.

As for guns ?
Anyone remember Sandy Hook ?

My high school had like one fight a year.
