Get more Saw 4 (Saw IV) news

Today the first ever behind-the-scenes stills were posted from the set of Lionsgate's Saw IV, which is currently lensing in Toronto, Canada. In addition to the photos, inside you'll find a small synopsis also posted from the film, which stars Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, Lyriq Bent and Justin Louis. Watch for more news as it comes in.

Synopsis and stills from Lionsgate and Sony's Fearnet:

"Jigsaw still haunts the living in Saw IV, forcing them to appreciate life, or face death. As a continuation of Saw III, Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that he must decipher before it’s too late."

Obviously that's just a fanmade trailer. Check it, the company is LGF - Lionsgate Films. Not LowCarbComedy.

It's way too early to have a SAW IV preview. Keep checking in on Your Number 1 Source For Horror Movies - BLOODY-DISGUSTING.COM for any SAW IV updates, they post only the official information. We'll probably see a SAW IV poster around maybe late July-September. The trailer will most likely be released around September.

Personally I think they should drop this series. It's not something against the series ( I like the first three), its just I feel after 2 sequels movies should stop there. I mean it seems like that they'll keep churning these out forever. Another example is Spiderman. I can't wait to see Spiderman 3, but I read they're doing another Spiderman. I mean come on, come up with some original material.

So if Jigsaw is still alive I'm assuming this will be a prequel, or is Jigsaw and the chick who got her face blown off gonna get up and start hunting down the ungrateful?

Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that he must decipher before it’s too late.

Jigsaw is definately dead, and the girl who got her "face blown off" was Lynn, a victim, she doesn't help Jigsaw. Amanda does, who got shot in the neck. But this movie is mainly like the others, while it'll mainly be set in present day, it will have some flashbacks to before the other movies, between them, etc.

As for stopping the movies, movies aren't unoriginal just because they make sequels of the movie. Making 4 movies doesn't mean they'll end up like Friday the 13th and have 12 movies or whatever. If the fans like the series, continue watching it, and the cast likes making the movie and keeps earning money, they'll figure out how to keep it going. The thing is, series like SAW and Spider-Man will most likely go for a while. SAW is a very original series, which has a big future and many ways to keep it fresh and make more movies. Spider-Man has numerous comics, so the movies can keep coming for a while. And as far as SAW, Tobin Bell is signed on for at least 6 movies, which I know there will be. On the SAW III DVD commentary, producers announced that they already are working on the plots for SAW 5 and 6, just to prevent plotholes in all the movies. And even though Tobin is signed on for 6, it doesn't mean they'll actually make 6. And yes, I'm pretty sure Spider-Man will be doing 6 as well. Johnny Depp is signed on for at least 5 Pirates Of The Caribbean movies.

Not that I'm singling anybody out here, but I hate how people can sit there and complain about movies. "Oh wah, they should stop at 3, this series sucks, stop making them, you'll ruin it". Like some members of the SAW forum say that SAW IV will ruin the first 3. How? SAW-SAW III are already done, set. They won't change. Making more won't affect the others, so that's not a valid excuse. And if you don't like the fact that they are making more sequels, then it's this simple: just don't watch them. Some people are actually happy, regardless of how many movies they make. If the plots are good and make sense, I'm happy. Just don't make some shit like Jigsaw in space or something, or some supernatural shit.
