B-D reader 'xerotheory7803' wrote in with some sweet news regarding Lionsgate's Saw 4, "Hey guys, just wanted to drop you a line. I just got in from the Monster Mania horror convention near Philly where they announced that SAW 4 begins production on April 16th! No official word yet on cast or crew, but they promised MANY twists and turns in the fourth installment. Creator Leigh Whannell said that many unanswered questions from SAW 3 will be answered, such as the tape Jigsaw pours wax over, Obi's connection to Jigsaw, among other things." Watch for the official announcement on a director when word comes in... we think we might know who it is!!

OMG I can't wait to see what repetitive plot elements and death traps they come up with this time!!..... If people didn't die every 3 seconds in those movies I wouldn't even watch them. You would think there would only be so many people to kill, but no.

And some day after SAW 10 or 12 Rob Zombie will direct the remake of the original and it will all start over.

People, how about not bashing before you actually read up on the shit? The philosophy is that people who don't appreciate life don't deserve life, therefore, the movies may never end. People will always hate life. The company (LGF) only wants to go as far as 6, and the plots for SAW V and SAW VI have already been pre-thought-out. Honestly, I wonder what you guys do in your spare time? Insult the TV screen?

Its not so much that they keep making them, but when you get a new one every single year they kinda feel rushed. That and I didnt think either of the sequels came close to the first, but most sequels don't.

And the remake thing was offtopic but remakes are done to death these days and the Halloween remake is just so un-necessary. I even heard Evil Dead is being remade. Why?

Ok, but honestly, you get money faster if you make the movie faster. They don't wanna wait 5 or 6 years just to spit out another movie. They PLANNED on releasing the next installment each year on the Friday before Halloween. SAW II and SAW III blew SAW out of the water in my eyes. And as for the remake topic, like I've said before, if you don't like the way Hollywood gets their shit done, try making your own movie. I don't like the lack of good horror films that scare you to death(Like the old Jason and Halloween movies), so I'm in the process of writing my own movie.

Remakes can't be stopped. And hell, sometimes, they rejuvinate the series and get the series more fans! Or rehook the old fans that left.
