Well I made it out there again today and had a chat with the gal at the entrance. She informed me there are now two eggs in the nest and according to their calculations they should hatch around May 16 - 20th. She said the chicks don't stay on the nests for more than one or two days and then poof.. they are gone. Unfortunately the time period they are due is in the middle of the week and I have to work for a living so I have to do some scamming :brows: in order to get what I gotta get which would be a day off. The gates are closed at 4PM and there's no way I can get there in time without playing hooky. I asked the gal if they would mind a daily call when the time gets near... she smiled and said " of course not". :cheer:

I'll post a couple that I got today even though they are along the same lines as my original post.

Taking a stroll on the path... which kind of concerns me. Apparently the male can become quite aggressive if he feels threatened and I don't want my mothers words to come true. You know the ones... " be careful or you'll poke your eye out. "

And of course the left profile......

I'm not sure what happened here. I must have been watching one of the many ducks or geese that were hanging around because when I turned around I got his right profile. I really wanted a shot of the two eggs on the nest but it wasn't to be.

............. to be continued ..... I hope.

Thanks for looking.
