A one-vehicle crash in central Kansas leaves Kansas Representative Robert Bethell dead. It happened Sunday evening in Wabaunsee County. The Kansas Highway Patrol says Bethell, 69, was headed west on I-70 when he left the roadway, struck some trees and overturned.Bethell was the only one in the vehicle.No word on why his car left the road to begin with.Bethell served the 113th District in Kansas. He was first elected in 1999.[FONT=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]

This sucks. I mean REALLY sucks. He has been a GREAT voice in Topeka. He also happens to have been VERY close to my sis and BIL... my BIL preaches at his church when he is out... big big loss to my district.[/FONT]​

Thanks Keri. He was actually just here at my office a couple weeks ago visiting with my boss. He was really good at staying in touch with constituents and knowing what was wanted or needed in the district.
