Saban going to Alabama

So if you haven't heard Nick Saban has decided to leave the Dolphins and coach The Crimson Tide. This comes after him saying that he would not take the job, but stay coaching the Dolphins. Personally I think it was shitty of him to leave as does Don Shula. Any thoughts or comments?

As a Bama fan I'm pretty happy with the hire.

I wish it had gone down a little differently, but honestly what was he supposed to say ? If he did want the job before and he had games left for the Phins he couldnt just say he'd like to go back to college coaching. Everyone is down on him for lying, but Tubberville and Franchione and O'Brien and Butch Davis have all done exactly the same thing (just to name a few)

Don Shula is understandably upset. Saban is taking Mikes place at Bama...gotta be a hard pill to swallow. But Miami will be fine, they'll get a head coach that wants to be there and has a passion for taking the Dolphins back to the top.

Yeah it would've been nice for Saban to not blatantly (sp) lie to everyone though.

I agree, but if he said no comment they would just dig deeper...thats what journalists do. The only thing I fault him for at all is not meeting his players and coaches in person and telling them he was leaving.

Yeah they would've dug deeper. He should have pleaded the 5th.

I know what you mean but any non-direct or evasive answer just fuels the fires. I wish word hadn't leaked out that Moore was going to pursue him.

Well I watch college football but I really don't have a team. In the NFL it's the Packers. MLB is the Cards (and I'm not a bandwagon fan, I live like an hr from St Louis, life long fan). NHL and NBA watch but not my favs. I'm done lol.

Predators Hockey
TN Titans, Seahawks, Packers, and KC Chiefs
Detroit Tigers (since I was 14) and the Angels. Only MLB team I've gone to see live, plus the Orioles who they were playing.

I'm only really passionate about Alabama football and the Titans. The rest I pull for but just casually.

Well at least 3 of your NFL teams are in the playoffs. Poor Packers, but hey all I asked for was a .500 season and I got it so I'm happy with the Pack.
