Since yesterday, it's been like a war zone out here in the boonies! I hear gun shots ring out and it is startling!

I keep forgetting about opening day for guns vs deer season. Every shot reminds me though. :willy_nilly:

I was finishing up a back pasture the other week and low and behold what did I come across, but a tree stand on my property, but it WASN'T my tree stand. That guy is in for a big surprise if he ever gets back to that tree LOL

its been like that for over a month here. i live near the marsh. dove and duck season.

Dove season has been open here for a while. Pheasant and quail opened last weekend. Rifle season for deer is not until Dec 10th... Bow season right now... duck has been open a while too.

I would never sit in another mans stand without his permission, just wouldn't feel right to me That said, put that stand on my property without having the common courtesy to ask me first, well, I don't have any qualms having fun with it:ninja

LMAO I was not meaning sit in it.. depending on the type of stand I would take it and sell it.... or make it was permanently yours and only you can even climb in it...

If I had my way I would put signs out around our 30 acres of swamp that says No Hunting Allowed!!! But alas, I cannot. So I just try to use my mind to make the hunters miss the ducks. They're either shitty shots or I'm effective Only a couple have been bagged since we've lived here. Perhaps if I set out floating coolers of beers they'd miss even more?

Wanted to surprise my son with some sub sonic loads I've been working on and told the misses and son if they hear anything on the back porch not to be alarmed (not sure of the decibel level I was going to get). Well, get one gun, open the back door, and down in the back field I actually saw on of the largest bucks I've seen in a long time. Told the misses I was half tempted to go get the right gun and ammo LOL

I've seen a couple of deer on the roadside.... road kill. I wonder why whomever hit them didn't call someone to come get 'em. Such a waste.

Only had one close call on the way to work so far this month. I was pretty close and actually watched the deer at the right side of the road change its mind and head back into the brush. I was just getting my foot on the brake too. If it had of run into the road.... I'd have hit it or it me.... for sure. Happens in a split second! Phew!

We have a hunting season here as well. I think it's deer here as well. I always get kinda freaked whenever i hear gunshots so I know your feelings.

Only the owner can hunt on their own private land. Others could get themselves in big trouble.

Now state land..... where hunting is allowed.... anyone can.... and does..... hunt on it. I wouldn't want to. Way too many idiots out there with a gun.
