As the son of an Irish man, I was told many times that when it comes to Irish music there are only three names you need to remember: Thin Lizzy, Van Morrison, and Rory Gallagher. (He might also have made special mention to U2, and by special I mean he stuck their cds in the microwave and swore that one day Bono would pay)

Just wondering if anyone else is a fan of the G man? Undeniabley one of the greatest guitarists the world has ever seen, the pioneer of Irish Rock.

Brilliant! Have to disagree about the three main names in Irish music though, Shane McGowan has to be in there!
