It's Christmas break and I have no life. There, I've said it. Let's move on.
I hate it when people take things out of context, especially if it seems to support something I believe, because I have been embarrassed before by quoting something & finding out they'd really said something totally different. So when I heard about this clip from Robert Reich:

I knew it must have been taken out of context, so I hit youtube to try & find a longer sample or maybe even the whole speech. I found nuthin'.
But I did find this video of Reich explaining his opinion that we must have equality of income, rather than simply eradicating poverty. Yes it's an hour long, but Reich is surprisingly entertaining and besides, it's Christmas. You need a break. Heck, I watched it twice to make sure I hear him right.

Do I agree with him? Of course not. What surprises me about damn near everybody that claims to be politically aware, of all persuasions, is that when we find a problem that occurred because of some type of government intervention, legislative abuse by politicians and/or their corporate sponsors, they think the solution lies in more government intervention.
