Drove 1300 miles by myself. Left Friday morning at 8 am and came back 10 pm Saturday night.
Hospital visit Friday night, dinner friday night, slept on a buddys floor catching up with his family until the wee hours of Sat morning. Saw some old people from an old position Saturday morning, breakfast with another friend, then another hospital visit. Running back home, in West Virginia, saw an old girlfriend who had never seen me with a beard (couldn't believe it was that long, but we have always talked over the phone from year to year) and then stopped in to see the guy who was the best man at my wedding .
Overall, hectic, BUT...hadn't been back to that area since I left over 10 years ago and was really nice catching up with some old friends.
Funny, people telling me on the phone Friday how to get where acting like I knew where I was going and I told them that it had been so long that I had forgotten where everything was.
Did make a special stop to see the converted chicken coop house turned into a apartment where I use to live LOL
Kicker was, on Saturday woke up to snow falling. Bad at times on the way home particularly north of Pittsburgh, and I was worried I had forgotten how to drive in the stuff. Then I saw people hitting their breaks on bridges to slow down and it hit me that people up north don't know how to drive in the stuff as well.
Did see a couple of Alberta plates with WVU stickers heading south, didn't realize they had Canadians now going to WVU LOL
