Aside from the croc they must be the closest thing still around to a Dinosaur.

But they're so peaceful as well, Buddhists basically worship these magnificent creatures.

yeah i think theyre dino like.
kinda triceratops (sp?) like. pretty awesome animals... until you have a run in with one!!!

They're generally peaceful animals, although some of the smaller breeds are more flippant and violent.

But if you do piss off a rhino you better get behind something solid, because you don't stand a hope in hell of outrunning one. I seem to remember flat out they can get up to 30mph

Sorry to butt in but... the Rhino is nothing like a Dinosaur. If you truly want to see what a dinosaur looked like, go look at pictures of Emus & Ostriches, watch a Condor eating it's carrion. The birds are the descendants of dinosaurs & even a small bird like a Magpie or Raven can give you insight into dinaosaur behaviour. Absolutely beautiful to watch.

Rhino's on the other hand give a fascinating look at megafauna, mammals that died out millions of years ago, but some mammals were the size of houses. The world is filled with much wonder.

what you say is quite right,i too believe that birds evolved from dinosaurs,all i was saying was that a rhino looks sort of prehistoric
