What's the reason a person can sexually reproduce before they are mentally capable of caring for a child? A 13 year old can reproduce but it's quite obvious they cannot handle it.

Biologically speaking, they should be able to because nature has made it's call, and nature does what a condition calls for, so how can it be wrong? Childhood is over by events that happen in your life that influence you to grow up.

Or is humanity strictly dependant on social behavior of other humans where we are blank-slates without the direction and guidance of other people? We must be taught everything about knowing how to be good parents.

maybe over time the gestation period lengthened? not likely though.

perhaps it is a matter of originally like other species the pack was able to raise the offspring?

good question though
