For Hindus and Buddhists who believe in karma and reincarnation. Let's assume that you had a hundred lives in the past with their present and will have a hundred lives in the future also with their present, and so the question: Why is your present today, although it could have been any of these past and future, why are the other lives simply skipped and not this one? And if your lives are skipped just like that, then this devalues the concept of karma. Thus, reincarnation and karma have neither reason nor meaning! And the only thing that remains is that Allah has predetermined this life for you, and allows you to go through pain and pleasure to test you, and there is nothing accidental in this world.

Well, I don't because I'm a Christian and I know that we would all resp what we sow and that's karma. Garbage in garbage out

I am talking about the inconsistency of the concept of karma and reincarnation in Buddhism and Hinduism, and I don’t care what you think, little bun.

I respectfully disagree. In Hinduism and Buddhism, your present life isn’t random or skipped, it’s the direct result of karma from previous lives. You’re living this life now because the accumulated actions of your past have led to this precise set of circumstances. It’s not about skipping lives but unfolding a journey step by step, each with its own lessons and consequences. Unlike predestination, karma honors personal responsibility and growth over time. It's not meaningless, it’s deeply cause-and-effect driven, emphasizing inner transformation rather than external testing.

I’m Buddhist, and I believe karma and reincarnation are not random or meaningless. This life is not "skipped" or accidental, it’s the direct result of karmic conditions accumulated through countless past actions. You're born in this present moment because it’s the most fitting consequence of your past causes. Each life isn't skipped; it ripens when conditions allow, like seeds blooming at different times. Karma isn’t devalued. We're not just being tested, we're evolving, learning, and shaping future rebirths through our choices.
