Regrets thread

Sometimes I wish I had allowed myself to be single for a bit before settling down with my BF. I never lived by myself, and I really never dated casually as an adult. I'm happy where I am, but there's always a little part of me that wonders what that would have been like.

I regret not moving to NYC

I had the opportunity to go to school down there and didn't take it. Stupid me.

Honestly though, there are some situations that could have been regretful, but they benefited me in their own way and I think things have turned out ok in the end. I still have plenty of time ahead of me though.

I can echo this! I've never lived alone either, always either moved out with a boyfriend or gone back to my parents, and now I'm at the point where I could afford to live alone but I'm not single. I do wonder what it would have been like, especially actually dating around more, but I wouldn't change it all the same.

I regret college and graduate school, but I don't really know what I should have done...that one hurts.
I regret rejecting a guy in high school, it would have been a nice experience to have let that happen.
Also, I regret not sticking up for myself, and every time I allow someone to look down on me.

But if I didn't I would have never met my sons mom.

I don't have regrets, well none that I can think off right off. I think everything I do I learn from and instead of regretting something, I prefer to think of the lessons I am learning from the choices I make in life.

I regret not speaking at my Grandmother's funeral. I was pregnant & distraught and just couldn't bring myself to stand up and speak for fear of just breaking down and crying.

But, I don't think she minded.
