Paco Plaza's [REC] 3: Genesis will open in Spain March 30, 2012. As if that wasn't good news enough, this Friday, Filmax will release the first teaser trailer for the film!

I only had a chance to catch the first [REC] film, and despite it being in Spanish(Not really a negative aspect, but obviously, I had to read the subtitles and try to focus on the movie at the same time), it was an amazing movie. I loved every minute of it. If [REC] 3 is going to be as amazing as all the reports and interviews are saying, I'm going to have to rewatch the first one and catch the second one before checking out the third installment. It's definitely going to be a movie that people talk about for a long time, so you don't wanna miss that.

The action in REC Genesis encompasses the events of the first two films and after the sense of claustrophobia previously experiences. The action now takes place miles away from the original location and partly in broad daylight giving the film an entirely fresh yet disturbing new reality. The infection has left the building. In a clever twist that draws together the plots of the first two movies this third part of the saga also works as a decoder to uncover information hidden in the first two films and leaves the door open for the final installment the future REC Apocalypse.

Haha, I'm sorry! I've only seen the first [REC], which I watched after seeing Quarantine. I don't speak a lick of Spanish or know anything about Spain. [REC] was actually the first foreign film I've ever watched, and I loved it. I haven't gotten around to finding and watching [REC] 2 yet.

Cool can't wait to see it. I love [Rec] and saw [Rec]² in the cinema.

Quarantine just didn't live up to it. I saw it after seeing [Rec] and thought it boring and the acting to be quite wooden. Not a patch on the original.
