I was complaining all day yesterday about this birthday party I had to go to that I didn't really want to... but I went. I stayed for the surprise part, and then Matt got off work, so he came too. We stickered HAPPY BIRTHDAY! across the birthday girl's ass and she walked around with it hanging out of her pants, which was super amusing.
Anyway, once we got bored, Matt, a friend, my sister and I decided to drive to Waterloo and walk around the university campus. We got wind of a dorm party, and somehow ended up in the hallway of someone's dorm, introducing ourselves to people and getting drunk on college kids' booze. What is it with college kids and Malibu? They ALL have it. That's pretty much all they were drinking. So Matt did a run and got some more (better) booze. Tch.
A few things of note happened: some creepy nineteen-year-old guy started stroking my hair, and I think I offended him when I pulled away really fast. Some drunk guy wouldn't give up his car keys, and half the dorm piled on him and wrestled them out of his hands. I ran into a cousin of mine and spent an awkward five minutes trying to (drunkenly) explain why I was on his college campus. My cell phone wouldn't stop freaking out, because apparently everyone in the world suddenly had the urge to text me at two in the morning.
I miss being in college. Ha.
Anyway, on the way home, our friend Craig (who was driving, because he was the only sober one) decided to avoid the 401 and take backroads. Which ended up getting us lost for half an hour, and then he re-evaluated, and we took the 401 (it wasn't very busy at 3 in the morning... I'm not sure why he wanted to avoid it in the first place).
But I guess it was nice to be out for a bit, especially after such a crap week. The point is: I had fun, I'm feeling mostly better.
