I been loyal to IE since day one and unlikely to change.

Um what?

Loyal to an intangible product?

What has it done for you?

I am disgusted that you used that terminology.

And sad.

Seriously.

And then I laugh.

Because you are 'loyal' to software.

For me, IE is great.

If I needed/developed ActiveX stuff.

Since I do not, Firefox has a better interface, in my opinion.

Therefore, I use Firefox.

If I found a different browser with a better interface (seems would be difficult, since my Firefox has the tabs, address, and menu bars only (bookmark menu not shown), which is basically the minimum requirements of any browser software), I would switch.

See, it is all about tools.

My car, sure it is a Mustang GT (1999, convertible, automatic).

Some fans think (oMG a GT! SWeeT! BeST CaR eVaR!!)

To me, a tool, to get from (ax, ay) to (bx,by).

I like it buckets, fits my fat ass in the seats (need new ones, leather is slitting). but that does not mean I cannot like/respect other vehicles. My buddy has an '07 350z... sucker is fast as crap (definitely tuned by the seat of the pants method). I might get one, although the seats to ground ratio is low.

-----

My point is that you claim fanboyism, and it is absolutely sad.

I am not saying one is better than the other as fact (it is truly an opinion), but locking up to just one because it is the only one you have used and will ever use is just a pathetic reason to continually use it.

But each to his own, but I can still complain about reasonings.

Like SSL said to each his own really. IE can be a shit product but it works ok for my current needs. I am not a software engineer or developer or programmer. They all will be silly to rely on IE alone. We all started with IE.

Wrong, I started with Windows Explorer (really, an IE, with Windows-only bindings)

Or, if I felt adventurous, I went for cmd.

OK fair enough, the gist of my point is if the browser suits your needs then wat the heck. Just make your choice.

Both IE and FF are nearly identical. They both have all the basic needs for surfing the net. Both GUI's work well. I like IE and it works well for me. I also like FF. I currently use FF because I think it is slightly faster than IE. I still have to use IE because my Credit Union doesn't find FF to be a secure browser. They both get the job done.

Browsers, Operating Systems, Hardware all need sycronisation and work as a team. If one of them has a slight malfunction, infected by virus etc then probably you will say my fuckin IE is useless and I will opt for FF.
