geez Janie........

Yeah, I've always stayed til the very end. But I certainly don't blame anyone who can't stay through the whole thing nor think any less of them...

We certainly didn't let PBBB stay in the room w/Gwen. Nor Moe. Seeing her crawl into the box w/Moe when we brought him home to bury him was heartbreaking enough dammit....

After having Bryan's cat die in my arms why we rushed to the emergency vet, I can't do it anymore... it still brings me into a wave of nostalgia and helplessness... I've been there for ever other pet before her... I couldn't stay in the room for Mr Moe... but I went in afterward and held him. :(

I also had Amara with me, she was 12-14mths old... and very upset were leaving her kitty there.

My babies were in my arms when it was necessary to save more pain, they heard my soft love words as I watched them gain freedom from pain. I cried like a baby but I had to be with them.

When I got out of High school. I worked at a vet clinic. I really didnt have a problem with the whole putting the animals to sleep. Until one day my boss made me help her put my own dog down. Bitch I never forgave her.

But anyway I am over it now!

I was so pissed at my parents when they put my dog down. They waited until a week after it happened to tell me. I never got to say goodbye. When I went home again, it was the first time I had to deal with accepting it. It seemed like everyone was already moved on, so I didn't speak to them for days. My mom finally explained that they were with him the whole time and that she drove home while my dad sat in the passenger seat holding Duke, petting him and crying. That made it a little easier. I still cry sometimes though.
