Do you read translated works? What’s the best translated book you’d recommend? How do you think translation impacts the storytelling experience?

I read a lot of non-English literature, so I do read translated works. I am a fan of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, he does not write in the language that I understand. Therefore, I rely on translated work

Yes, I read translated works and truly value them for opening windows into other cultures. One of the best translated books I’d recommend is The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, translated from Spanish by Lucia Graves. The prose is rich, poetic, and immersive, it captures the dark beauty of post-war Barcelona and the mystery of forgotten books.
