Santa Ana, CA -- A lawsuit says staffing at a Santa, Ana, California, senior center was so inadequate that a rat crawled into a 90-year-old Alzheimer's patient's mouth and died there before the staff noticed.

The lawsuit alleges administrators overbooked their facility to receive corporate bonuses, but cut back on staff to increase profits.

A spokeswoman for the home's operator denies the allegations but does say the man was found holding a glue trap that had been placed in his room by a pest control company and that a dead field mouse was inside the trap when Bock picked it up.

Bock is now being treated at another facility.

riiight... it crawled in and died before the staff noticed. BS. It was dead in the trap for a long time, the guy is unstable so he picks it up and shoves it in his mouth.

If the place is overbooked and understaffed then that makes perfect sense as to how the hell this could happen in the first place.
