R-I-P Amy - a Joe tribute
on the twenty third of July two thousand and elven,
tragic news a few weeks after the birth of Harper Seven.
a 27 year old is dead in a house in Camden town,
its that same lady that screamed Camden is burning down.
people are already judging and the press have convicted,
i no Amy had her demons, but its no easier because its self inflicted.
so young and talented, but her gift had no structure,
because of emphysema, her air sacks lacked oxygen, then the rupture.
at this stage we don't no if there's a link,
but it could not have been helped as of her battle with drugs and drink.
Amy has left 2 albums that are secure in our music bank,
back to black will always be played as well as frank.
a troubled sole, Amy i will pay tribute,
into the Hawley arms to raise a glass for your short life and for all what you did contribute.
(what can the joe say ? all the gifted people seem to be taken from us way to early. very very sad day. sadie have you got any views on amy ? the joe would love to hear what others are thinking)
