i never thought he would leave st louis

250 mill ten years first five years no trade i guess it was the no trade that killed mianmis hopes, still he is 31 ( or maybe 33) a lot of money for a guy whose production should be on the decline

This totally makes my day... no Pujols in the NL Central, and we didn't sign him to an albatross contract. :cheerleader: If Hendry was still in charge, we probably would've given him a 12 year, $350 million contract with a no-trade clause, a private jet, three personal assistants, and his own locker room.

Sox/Yanks and Cubs still waiting on the sidelines....

I'm honestly okay with that for the most part... I'd prefer us not to go out and sign everyone we possibly can like Hendry used to do. We're at least a year away from contention, so let's build up that minor league system for the time being. Though, I wouldn't mind signing Fielder to be honest; I like him a lot better than Pujols, especially since he's younger and has no history of injuries. Well, no injuries other than his weight. :24:

it will be interesting to see where Prince does land....wouldn't be surprised if he does re-sign with the Brewers

I'd like for Prince to either sign with us or go to the AL. :D

I think Starlin Castro becomes the default best player in the division at that point.
