psychiatric care and insurance

im just trying to get some information. How much does it cost if you need to go to a special psychiatric hospital say for like a week? How much does health insurance usually cover?

Those questions are pretty broad... It all depends on your insurance and coverage. I would call them and see if they will "prequalify" the treatment. They will tell you which facilities they will pay for and what percentage they will cover. But it's your insurance company that can give you that information.

boo i dont even know what insurance i have, my dad hasnt sent me my new cards yet. ugh i hate this shit. but i think its somehting i really need to do. i dont have mommy and daddy doing this for me like i did when i was 15 and needed to stay for a few months. it just adds to the stress and depression really.

i just emailed my dad. i hope he will help me. maybe we shuold call off the wedding and go through the JP instead, we dont need to spend that money.

Audra is 100% correct in this. There are times when you have to stop thinking about others and help yourself first. Just as there are times when you don't ask "how much" first, you just take care of what you need to and deal with the cost later.

i talked to my dad again. he wants me to skip my 1 class i ahve today and drive over to his work and hang out with him. its about 45 min away but i think talking to him will make me feel better. ive been really scared of talking to him about things because i didnt want to let him down since im having misgivings about the wedding and he is paying for it.
