Donna’s senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, one of magic, beauty, and love. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe from the horrors of her past. But when the night turns from magic to murder there is only one man who could be responsible…the man she thought was gone forever. Now, Donna and her friends must find a way to escape the sadistic rampage of an obsessed killer, and survive their Prom Night.
Before anybody goes bashing this movie, it's NOT a remake of the original. It has been confirmed before that the only similarities between this and the original is the name of the movie, and the idea of a "deadly prom night".
I fucking LOVED Prom Night. Best movie I've seen in a while. Prom Night had some good scare scenes(But lets be honest, I expected to be jumping every five seconds, but with almost every scare scene, I actually DIDN'T jump. That's never happened to me before. The only one that actually made me jump was when Donna was slammed face-first into the mirror). Not to mention, it was pure hilarity hearing the audience of teenage girls scream and cry every five seconds. And call me a sadistic asshole, but I was actually cheering for the killer, I wanted to see Donna die. I thought it'd make a great ending. And I loved the scene where Lisa died, it was almost the same construction setting as Rigg's house in SAW IV. Sure, she was engaged almost, making her death more emotional, but I loved how they pulled that element into her death. It was just like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(2003). I bet I'm the only one that got sad when Kemper was killed, and the ring fell out of his pocket.
