Pro Guns vs. Gun Control

This is a hot topic where I live so I wanted to see what you guys thought of it.

Do you believe that law-abiding citizens should have the right to own a firearm? What are your thoughts on individuals owning a firearm for "protection"? Please, share your thoughts on this subject and don't forget to vote in the poll.
