"16-year-old Matt Bandy. His family's life was turned upside-down when he was charged in Arizona with possession of child pornography, even though the family computer was riddled with spyware and Trojans. After the intervention of ABC's 20/20, Matt finally was allowed to plead to a lesser charge (namely, sharing a Playboy magazine with friends) and just barely escaped being labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life."

ABC News: Prison Time For Viewing Porn?

amazing, that after all the tests to prove his innocence that just because he showed some 16 yr old kids a playboy they wanted to label him a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Make sure you have firewalls and regularly check for viruses and spyware folks, its easy and can save you a world of trouble!

I dont really buy the whole story, I think he is a perve, and he just created a way for Perv's everywhere to have another excuse for having that shit on their Comp.

But thats just my opinion.

I'm over 18. it's our legal right to posess pornography(As long as the law allows for it. IE: NO animal/child porn) Being 16 and posessing porn is illegal. And child porn? That makes me sick. But the law is the law.

Dudes, I'm the geek and crisis management consultant who took Matt Bandy's story to ABC's 20/20 -- and who figured out how he was hosed by hackers who took advantage of the Bandy family being complete 'puter noobs. You want proof, then stop criticizing long enough to visit Justice4Matt.com. Hint: Matt Bandy passed TWO polygraphs and TWO psych evals and had more than 200 viruses, including Trojans on the "suspect" computer and the police never examined the computer for viruses, just images.

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance -- that principle is contempt prior to investigation." -- Herbert Spencer.

Just a thought!
