Well, I just dropped her off at school for her Graduation Day and as she got out of the car, the look on her face reminded me of a poem I wrote for her when she was a few months old:
PrincessBooBooButt - 1998
From your downy blonde hair
to your beautiful eyes of blue
From the depths of my soul
comes this overwhelming love for you.
From breast to bottle, crawl to toddle
Watching you grow is healing my soul.
For in raising you right, this will help end my plight.
From loving you deeply comes real healing
It comes so cheaply!
Who needs a shrink to save me from the brink
when your life does just that even when you're a brat
For leaning I am, how to be a kid again
Though Daddy would whine that I'm really only nine.
