Obama is a Spendthrift!

Does any one find this incredibly hypocritical and really not an effective argument? Let me guess, Senator McCain struggles with his family budget... :D

(CNN) — John McCain’s campaign released its second tax ad of the week that calls Barack Obama a spendthrift celebrity who does not have to worry about a family budget.

The spot comes a day after McCain grabbed headlines for his inability to immediately recall how many homes he owns.

“Celebrities don’t have to worry about family budgets, but we sure do,” says the announcer in the 30-second spot. “We’re paying more for food and gas, making it harder to save for college, retirement."

More from CNN:
McCain faced similar criticism from Obama after remarks Saturday at the Rev. Rick Warren's faith forum in which the Republican joked that someone would need to earn $5 million a year to be defined as rich in the United States.

From Obama: "Now think about that -- I guess if you think that being rich means you gotta make $5 million, and if you don't know how many houses you have, then it's not surprising that you might think the economy is fundamentally strong," Obama said Thursday.

"But if you're like me and you've got one house -- or you were like the millions of people who are struggling right now to keep up with their mortgage so that they don't lose their home -- you might have a different perspective."

Acts of desperation: RNC Aims at Obama's elite education

Obama's elite schooling may prove a risky topic for McCain, who attended St. Stephen’s, an exclusive school in Alexandria, Va., and then Episcopal High, a private boarding school in the same city, in the 1950s. The son and grandson of Navy admirals, he ended up at the Naval Academy, where, as he often reminds voters, he finished near the bottom of his graduating class.

“While John McCain went to private school, he also went to public university,” said Bounds. “The Naval Academy is as public as public gets,” he added, noting that a four-year military commitment is required following school.

Excuse me, the only way to become a Navy Officer is by attending the Naval Academy. And we should be proud of McCain for finishing near the bottom of his class? Yes, very desperate and what's worse it shows that the Republican Party thinks that outright deceit is ok to achieve victory.
