I don't know about over there...but here in the states 30 people in that crowd would call his chief to complain on his lack of professionalism and he would probably tote a 3 day suspension or, at the very least, an ass-chewing. And no, I'm not kidding...the other 3970 people might be clapping and enjoying it but there's 30 sticks in the mud going "he's on duty, he should be doing his job!!!"

It's pretty much the same over here, give it time! It was the same when that copper got on youtube sledging on his riot shield. Personally I like to see a copper showing some sign of being a normal human being. Kind of feel sorry for them, some can be complete cunts but whatever they do, someone will moan and it will be all over the tabloids.

Yep!!! We had some motorcycle officers a few years ago that were in our Christmas parade (like they are every year). They thought they'd put on a show for the kids and they popped some wheelies and did some tricks. Over 100 complaints were received. Hell, one of my friends that is a police officer went through the drive through at Starbucks the other day and the guy behind him took pictures of his patrol car and told him that he thought it was unethical for him to be stopping for a cup of coffee while on duty!!!

It's a two way thing. Yes, moan when the coppers do something nasty but why moan if the're just having fun and improving relations by acting like normal human beings? I dont see it all splashed over the news when I was working in a factory and we sledged on bits of sheet metal from there. What's the difference? This is the riot sheild sledging copper, by the way. :D

That looks like fun!!! I will say, though, that our guys that worked the Little League World Series were having contests using cardboard to see who could slide the farthest...those who lost had to do the chicken dance on the pitcher's mound. Not 1 single complaint...I was surprised.

You're forgetting guys, anyone who works in a position serving the public is automatically stripped of all personality and emotion, and showing signs of fun and free spirits means they've gone rogue and need to be terminated.
