[All Else Failed]

[FONT=&quot]Have you seen the wind?[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]To know the wind is to watch old photographs[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Being blown through a weathered home[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Creaking floorboards bear the only witness [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]It runs an alleged hand over[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Her fragile landscape[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Scattering almond strands a skein [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]To know, to sculpt and to stay[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Imparting life to the lifeless[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Placing ghost children in abandoned Swings[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Singing them a distant lullaby on broken violins [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]spin[/FONT][FONT=&quot] and reach,[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]list and wane,[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]nature’s choir sings and it strains[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]for an old transparent melody[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]to strum past trees[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]and lay whispers into the grain[/FONT]

Have you seen the wind?
