I never thought I'd live to see the day where profits are privatized but loses are socialized here in America.

Last I read each and every one of us are on the hook for about $135+k for the policies of the last two years. How nice of our CongressCritters to approve blank checks to the corporations.

p.s. A good read is Ron Paul's "Revolution - A Manifesto". Too bad the smartest man in the room was marginalized as a kook by the establishment when he had a chance to win the Presidency but now that that chance is done the corporate media flocks to him for advice... All the proof we need that both sides of the aisle are corrupt up to their armpits and the corporate media is exactly that.

And I totally agree with you on Ron Paul.....He truly is intelligent, and who I really wanted to get the nomination.

And it's a shame that nobody is willing to look back on formerpresidents and realize that they were all flawed, but believed in liberty and growth and our freedoms over anything else.

I was a life-long Dem who changed parties to vote for Ron in our Primary (since it's a closed-primary). I was even willing to overlook his stance on abortion (I'm ProChoice) since he was willing to put the priorities of WeThePeople first, second & third.

But even he was 'man' enough to say publicly that if he were elected he too may be assimilated.

What gets me now are Republicans that I post w/elsewhere that voted for one of the other GOP candidates but now espouse the greatness of Ron Paul. stfu you morons!!!:yuk

Only when we are able to see past the put-up distractions that divide us will we ever come together for real change. I'm of the mind that it will never happen and we deserve what we've gotten by our collective ignorance. How sad for our kids and their kids and so on......

Well there is nothing that could be done about Ron Paul, he had NO support from the GOP at all.

To me Romney was the golden boy, and in all fairness not without his strong points. I don't choose a candidate based on abortion, religion, gay marriage or any other hot topic issues.

That all muddies the water to me.

What is the candidate going to do for the country? Not what does he/she think

We are victims right now of "Wow....he really sounds neat"

That he had no support from the GOP says everything anyone should know about sold-outness.

Where is support was was in the people. Ron had the highest donations from our 'boots on the ground', yet the media called him a coward over his stance on the war. He had the highest money-bombs ever so now his supporters are being branded 'terrorists'. gmafb.

Too bad more were not like you and I who are not taken by put-up distractions meant to divide. My forehead was so bruised from banging it on my keyboard. Those same people I posted w/put Rush up as a true American. Ha! If he were a true American he would have gotten behind Ron. pfffffttttt...... His loyalty lies w/his paycheck signers. Period.

Barack has already blown quite a few promises made, but I do hope he does indeed end the taxbreaks for corps that take their companies overseas. I've already given up hope that he would restore the Constitution as promised. Biding ones time on that isn't the greatest idea ever.

Who'd have thunk that supporting our Constitution would land someone on a potential violent homegrown terrorist list? How totally upside down is that?

Yep, we have a totally corrupted government and no one to blame but ourselves.

You know this has been one of my big things, our government has been so outwardly focused on the demons hiding in holes that we almost glaze over the demons in office as if it is some big joke. Yeah we oust one or two every once in a while in a media scandal, but really its the system itself that needs the jolt, remind the Congressmen and women, as well as the president himself that they work for the American People.

I'm frankly surprised that we haven't seen a more organized voice against all this.

hehehehehehehehe..... I know why... When my dad died a couple of months ago, Hospice came and took all his heavy meds and had my stepmom dump them down the garbage disposal. Which in turn went right into the water supply. We are talking at least 100 morphine pills along with other strong meds.

How many studies do we see about drugs in our water supply? In our fish? Hello?:sleep::crazy:

I would say that's why I tend to drink bottled drinks, but we all know they got to those first.

Honestly the more I think about it, the interest groups are so fragmented that there really isn't a concerted effort to take on a central set of issues. Everyone wants their issue addressed (or they are a monolith looking for their industries wealth) so it all becomes a pull and tug in all directions instead of the singular that actually has a chance of working. But getting everyone in the world to look past the gray moral issues and into a central focus of leadership is more than a little difficult.
