Pit Bull regulations

I am so sick and tired of hearing about "banning" pit bulls, yada yada yada. Why is it pit bulls the only dogs that people are concerned about banning? Why not german shepherds, rottweilers, etc?
We've got 2 pit bulls and have had 1 for almost 8 years and she is one of the best dogs we have ever had and the other pit bull is her daughter and she is 2 years old. Very good dogs. Very smart dogs as well. They have never once snapped at us, done any harm to the kids or anything. Yeah I will admit, people who have never been here before or people that the dogs dont recognize bark and growl at them, but dont all dogs do that? They are very good watch dogs.

It is completely overboard. The only reason why pit bulls get a bad rep is because they were historically bred for fighting. My freind has a pit bull and its one of the nicest damn dogs I have ever met.

My former landlord had one, beautiful dog, wouldn't hurt a flea. A lot of dogs who are dangerous are that way because of how the've been treated and trained. I really don't see why they should ban a breed of dog simply because some idiots want to train them to be dangerous!

Any dog can be dangerous its a matter of the way its treated, My cousin was mauled by Cross breed dogs and she died of a heart attack... Its the crossing of two dangerous dogs that is the main problem...

I own an American Staffordshire Bull, and I can tell you he's a cupcake. He plays with my cat, loves my kid's and normally other people. He has been raised around kids, other animals and people.

However, something to realize is that Pit Bulls account for more dog on human deaths than any other breed, so you should be at least cautious, they have repeatedly fooled people.

My dog and I have an understanding, he knows I am the alpha male in the house, and he understands I'll put a bullet in his thick scull if he ever snaps at me

Pit bulls are the root of all evil!

This lady that lives down my street had owned these two pit bulls for over 7 damn years. They even slept IN HER BED when her husband was away on work. Well, the other day, for no apparent reasons, the dogs snapped and KILLED HER, and were EATING her body. Then her son saw, came to get the dogs off of her, they tore out his throat and he was put in ICU. They found the dogs roaming the streets later and the cops shot them both.

I'll stick with German Shepards. I've met German Shepards I've never even seen before, who have never seen me, and they never even seem to growl at me.

I own two dogs, they're both Great Dane/Irish Wolf Hound mix, and these fuckers will lick the shit out of anybody, even a robber! They are only...I think 8 months old and about the size of a mini-horse!

There ya go. I thought he was put in ICU. Eh. Anyways, stuff like that is why pit bulls get a bad rep. How does a dog suddenly just sap when you've owned it all your life? I had a dog for around 13 years and never in it's entire life, until the day we put it down, did it ever snap or even growl at me. It didn't even growl at the vet when they injected him.
