I feel cheated by this photographer we used in Michigan.
She is a friend of my friend, who has used her before and I have seen her work. We split her fee for mothers day weekend to get some pictures of the kids and us... fine. No problem for $70
Day before shoot, Michael was having an allergic reaction to something and was having asthma attacks left and right... I gave him 4 treatments and was close to taking him to a hospital. I messaged the photographer that night stating I felt I should cancel and rescheduled due to this fact of my childs health and happiness... it was over 12 hr notice.
She called us that morning saying fine, np... but we still owe her full price. We had signed no contract, just friend discount special for mothers day on her day off in the morning that she had no plans for. This annoyed Bryan and I, my friend also... so we decided to do the shoot real fast, if we are paying for something, I want my moneys worth.
Do the shoot... she's asking me what I want the entire time. Takes no initiative herself to suggest poses, what to do with kids, anything... in fact she doesn't even take many picture during the hour.
Takes over two weeks to get previews of the images... to say whether I like them or if the editing is off from what we asked for.
There was only 6 pictures, three of which were of my kids and myself, the others were of my friends(don't really care or want to see hers... I want to view ones of us....)
she states in the email with the proofs, I need to pay another 50$ minimum for the photographs! I thought that's what we were paying for! I signed her contact right before the shoot, but didn't get a chance to read it due to time and she was late.... I am pissed.
I sent her an email back asking if there were more pictures, and that I was never informed I had to pay more for photos.... I only wanted 4-6 of the kids....
I am so pissed off. The pics she sent aren't even good... she edited them way to fucking much... the one of me and the kids doesn't even look like me at all.:thumbdown
