photoshopping genius needed

i have a picture that a slovakian friend of mine wants to frame.......now she looks fine in it but the background isn't exactly first class(taken at a party).....i need someone who could do something with it hopefully......it'll need e-mailing too because of the size......any takers?

I think the biggest problem i had was that the tuft of hair peaking from the back was too blended with the dark background.
