Sanger Mayor Joshua Mitchell tells KMJ News that almost all of the town's toy drive boxes have been stolen.

In an ironic twist, those stolen toys were scheduled to be delivered Saturday morning to many local families who are unable to provide a nice Christmas for their families.

An emergency Drop Off will go through midnight Friday at Sanger City Hall with Mayor Mitchell manning the operation personally.

Donated toys and/or cash can also be taken to the old Rite Aid Parking lot at Jensen & Bethel Avenues.

No suspects have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
