People in today's society are becoming way too strict towards violence in cinemas. You have to realize the fact that it's just that, a movie. All the death in the movie, whether or not it's based on a true event, is fake. Fictitious. It isn't real.

Perfect example, read this article- Will 'Man Eating a Baby,' Other Scenes Get Grindhouse An NC-17? - Cinematical

In the upcoming horror flick Grindhouse, there's a scene of a man eating a baby. Some kid leaves a comment on the article at AOL news saying-

"WHAT?!!! A man eats a baby?!! You mean he finished a whole one?!!! I never could."

This is obviously false, but people take it too far, like this man, who says-

"So, let me get this straight. You people are not only okay with a film depiction of a man eating a baby, you are also excited to see such a thing?

I'm no objector to film violence as a principle, but what kind of sick, tasteless moron would actually WANT to watch a woman being tortured in a Nazi death camp is absolutely beyond me. Ooh, and she's topless too? Awesome!! Cause, you know, the only thing better than a naked chick is a naked chick being tortured.

Are you kidding me? I can't believe there's actually a market for this junk. The only reason guys like Tarantino and other "torture porn" filmmakers make any money at all is because there are actually people idiotic and classless enough to call this junk entertainment. These are the same people that are addicted to "shock value" humor, can't tell a joke that doesn't involve sodomy, incest, or bestiality, and somehow take pride in the fact that they can tolerate abhorrent filth. Is that something to gloat about? That you have no standards, and will watch, listen to, or say anything? That you will sit in an audience and cheer and holler for more blood, more torture, more rape? Very admirable.

Now you don't need to reply back to this about the First Amendment, hiding your lack of standards behind free speech and saying "they can express themselves however they want," and "it's our choice as consumers to watch what we choose to." I know all that. If you want to go see a man eat a baby, go right ahead. I'm simply calling you a sick, tasteless, classless, pathetic moron.

Enjoy your movie, losers."

It's not like the people actually eat a real live human baby, it's obviously fake. Same as in The Hills Have Eyes remake, people freaked out because of the gun-aimed-at-a-baby shot. Sure, the baby was human, but the gun was not loaded, and the child never flinched.

And as for that mans "topless girl" argument, here's how I see it. Breasts are a natural thing. The human race is what depicted them to be a sexual object. We're the ones that decided early in life, "Lets cover those up, they aren't appropriate in public. And then the Nazi torture thing, it's over and done with. Let's lighten up and poke some fun at the Nazi's, I think it's funny.

Moral of this thread: People today need to lighten up. If you don't like the movie's scenes, don't go see it.

Couldn't agree more with this. It gets on my nerves when you get people up in arms about a certain film which they haven't actually seen and don't know what the fuck the're talking about. Some people just can't seem to put things in context either.

it wouldn't be so bad if parents would talk to their kids more about what they do and see on tv and in life , to many kids are influenced by what they see or hear , people need to get involved with their kids , hell just look at some of the kids on our forum.;)

You should see the way they treat the gamming industry. They crucify gamming companies, and they don't even have half as much graphic violence as movies. I think people are just looking for a scape goat so they don't have to admit they were slippin on their parental duties.

Bill O'Reily attacked the SAW franchise and that pissed me off. Him and some lady labeled it as "pointless violence" and the movie is nothing more than "2 hours of useless torture scenes" which is a boldfaced lie. There is valid reasoning behind the violence and torture of the SAW franchise. I'm seriously at the end of my rope with people being so fucking strict movie-wise. I love Tarantino, he just basically says fuck you to the MPAA.
